VTA has established several committees for BART to Silicon Valley to provide input and help coordinate outreach.
Policy Advisory Board (PAB)
The Policy Advisory Board provides important policy guidance and decision-making throughout the project development. PAB meetings provide an important forum for discussing corridor-wide issues that extend beyond city and county boundaries. The PAB consists of the following representatives:
VTA/City of Milpitas
Bob Livengood
San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit
Tom Blalock (Vice Chairperson)
James Fang, Alternate
Bob Franklin
Gail Murray
VTA/City of San Jose
Sam Liccardo
Madison Nguyen
City of Santa Clara
Joe Kornder
Patricia Mahan, Alternate
City of Fremont
Anu Natarajan
Bob Wasserman, Alternate
County of Santa Clara
Ken Yeager (Chairperson)
County of Alameda
Scott Haggerty
Community Working Groups (CWG)
VTA works with established Community Working Groups (CWGs) to provide feedback and facilitate local community participation in the study. There are four CWGs representing Milpitas, the Hostetter/Alum Rock area, Downtown San Jose, and Santa Clara. Members of these working groups include representatives of neighborhood and business associations, community organizations, advocacy groups, major property owners, and planning commissioners.
Public Meetings
VTA is conducting an extensive outreach program to coordinate with interested parties and the general public. Some of these opportunities include public meetings.
